So hard to believe that this little nugget of love turned one! Nathan -
our "Happy and blessed gift from God" - has brought the Saylor household
immense joy. We just love our sweet boy, and he has proven to us that
the only thing better than TWO boys is THREE! He loves hanging out with
his brothers, turning their electronics off and on while they are using
them, playing Peek-A-Boo, sucking his thumb, and eating cheese. He likes to save us money on
haircuts, too! |
We had a small family party to celebrate his big day. I went with the
theme of "The Very Hungry Caterpillar." It was easy planning his party, as the Internet is full of this theme...lots of cakes and other ideas to take from. See the little caterpillar
painting? That is one of my new favorites - it was a group effort.
Nathan's handprints made the caterpillar, Sam painted the sun, and Sam
and Jack painted all of the polka dots. It is on a canvas and sure makes
me smile!

I had more fun making these colorful and whimsy fondant pieces. |

I just ran out of time and never did make him his own smash cake. Sorry, little dude. Once he got the 'ole birthday hat off, Nathan loved his cake. He just kept on going at it. |

Mommy and daddy with our birthday boy! |

Nathan with his Mimi and Papa. |

Nathan with his biggest fans...Bless his heart, Jack wasn't feeling so hot. This was the best "happy face" he could muster up for the camera. |

That's all folks! |
