Mr. Jack turns FOUR! I just love, love, love these Echo Park papers...somewhat "oldies" but goodies! They make me happy. |

It's Christmas in July! Well, maybe in August, but I had the best intentions of posting some of our favorite Elf on the Shelf experiences during the month of July. Let's just pretend that I'm not a week out and that there is a logical reason for posting these in August!
This past Christmas was our first with our elf, Zac. We had so much fun - so many special and funny memories made. Here are some of our very favorites. Some of them were "borrowed" ideas, and some of them were original ideas that transpired in the wee hours of the morning when I realized that Zac had not been repositioned for his next antics.
Zac Arrives in style. |
One of my favorites by far...dog food in the potty (which "exploded" in size once it absorbed all the potty water) |
A little prank for my boys (who want nothing to do with anything Barbie...Zac opened up a gift for the boys and ruined the surprise. Ha! |

I get an F for blogging this summer! I had the very best intentions.
Summer had arrived, and I was so excited about the opportunity to get some extra morning shut eye. I would not have to get up every morning so early to get Samuel out the door for school. With this extra time, I would be able to stay up much later at night and spend some quality time crafting, scrapping, and blogging ALL summer long. My plan didn't exactly go as planned. Figures! It has been a wonderful summer, but my time has been spent on making special memories with my boys...just not as much time on preserving them on paper. Over the next few posts, I do have a few crafty things to share from the past few weeks.
For starters, my baby boy who was *just* born yesterday turned 7 this summer. Mr. Time, please slow down. For realz! Samuel wanted a Minecraft cake SO bad. I had to take a Minecraft "crash course" to figure out what makes Minecraft - Minecraft. I've never played the stinkin' game. This wasn't my favorite cake to make. Squares just don't excite me too much, but I made it as whimsy as I could possible squeak by with. Samuel was thrilled with it, and so of course, a happy son makes a happy mama!
We had Samuel's party at a gymnastic's center. |
Gag! I don't even want to know what lurks beneath these germ-infested foam blocks! |
The kids had a blast. My 38 year old kid had the most fun though. :) |

So hard to believe that this little nugget of love turned one! Nathan - our "Happy and blessed gift from God" - has brought the Saylor household immense joy. We just love our sweet boy, and he has proven to us that the only thing better than TWO boys is THREE! He loves hanging out with his brothers, turning their electronics off and on while they are using them, playing Peek-A-Boo, sucking his thumb, and eating cheese. He likes to save us money on haircuts, too! |
I had more fun making these colorful and whimsy fondant pieces. |
I just ran out of time and never did make him his own smash cake. Sorry, little dude. Once he got the 'ole birthday hat off, Nathan loved his cake. He just kept on going at it. |
Mommy and daddy with our birthday boy! |
Nathan with his Mimi and Papa. |
Nathan with his biggest fans...Bless his heart, Jack wasn't feeling so hot. This was the best "happy face" he could muster up for the camera. |
That's all folks! |
