Little Boy

Mr. Jack at age FOUR. Here's a page to commemorate his interests. The "boobies" part is a joke - kind of - long story! I've been hanging on to these adorable Echo Park "Little Boy" papers. Love them!

my Little Man

My little man is now SIX. How can that be?!? Here is a little milestone page to commemorate his interests at six.

Smarty Pants

Here's my little smarty pants at just 5 months old. He is proudly sporting his big brother's "Build A Bear" glasses. Ha! Since Kase is an Electrical Engineer, I thought that the books were quite fitting.

Supplies Used: Patterened Papers (American Crafts, Echo Park, Fancy Pants, Basic Grey), Fancy Pants chipboard pieces, Spare Parts metal, American Crafts buttons, October Afternoon tidbits

At The Beach

Here's my little Nathan at the beach for the first time. He was just 8 weeks old and was not impressed! Mama was conveniently cropped out of the photo, as there is nothing quite as lovely as a  picture of an 8 week post partum mama being photographed at the beach in all of her glory! I love summer!

Supplies Used: Patterned Papers (Echo Park, Paper Studio), Jillibean Soup twine, K&Co chipboard dragonfly, October Afternoon tidbit, American Crafts chipboard letters and alpha stickers

I Love the Sun

This was my 1st layout for 2013 - because nothing says January quite like a beach layout! These pictures were from our annual trip to the beach last summer.

Supplies Used: Echo Park patterned papers

Holiday Decor

Geez! I am just getting around to posting my holiday decor. I will be glad that I did come the end of this year though.

I love fall decor almost as much as Christmas. This year, I decorated my mantle with a wreath and other fall accessories...such a sweet reminder that Christmas is just right around the corner!

We can't leave our front porch out of the fall fun!

And now....for the most wonderful time of the year!

Happy New Year and My Precious Giddo

Happy New Year! I realize that it is almost February, but better late than never. I have been a terrible blogger lately. I actually entered the New Year working on a new layout. I have several layouts to share as well as my holiday decor, but life happens, and I have been finding it harder to find time to blog about the crafty tidbits of my life. To be honest, blogging is just not that important to my now little nine month old! :) He just doesn't share my passion for crafting.

We had a wonderful Christmas and New Year. However, on January 13, my precious "Giddo" unexpectedly went to heaven. He was the most gracious and kind man. He was a family man, and he savored every second with us. He has 10 GREAT grandchildren - 8 of them being ALL BOY - and when we get together as a family, things get ROWDY! I would frantically get after my boys and remind them to be gentle around their Giddo. However, Giddo would just sit in my cheetah chair with the biggest smile, just enjoying the little lives in front of him. His walking stick would become a "dancing stick," and at times, a light saber. No doubt, his presence will be greatly missed.

Some called him "Colonel," others called him "sir," but we just called him Giddo.

My mom and Giddo - 2012

The holidays will never be the same, as he absolutely loved the holidays. After all, it was just one more reason to get together with those that he loved the most. He left a wonderful legacy, and anyone who knew him, loved him. My Giddo never met a stranger! We are immensely blessed to have had him for almost 90 years, but it is just never long enough when it comes to those that you love so dearly.
