28 Cents

Sometimes when I am in a scrapbooking rut, I look through my gallery and pick out a personal favorite for inspiration. I lifted one of my favorite designs that I have used a handful of times in the past:

And this is what I came up with:
This was our Christmas postcard that we sent out to family and friends this year. This Curio line of Basic Grey papers puts a smile on my face - I just love the colors and designs.
Just in case you are wondering, the price of a postcard stamp is 28 Cents - my inspiration for the title!

Supplies Used: Patterned Papers (Basic Grey, October Afternoon), Prima Marketing crystals and leaves, Recollections (Michael's line) flowers

Pint Sized Picassos

I used Pencillines sketch #225 for this layout....always inspired by their sketches.
I just love the patters and happy bright colors of all of the different papers on this layout.
A little bit about the pictures...I was looking at pictures on Facebook and came across pictures of a Facebook friends' kids painting with water outside - brilliant! I snagged the idea, and it became a favorite summertime activity for my squirmy boys. They are already asking when we will get to do it again.

Supplies Used: Patterned Papers (Echo Press, Doodlebug Designs, Sassafras Lass, October Afternoon, Basic Grey, My Little Shoebox, Fancy Pants), Jenni Bowlin butterflies, American Crafts foam letters, Making Memories tiny alpha stickers

Amazed By You

This is slightly out of my box, as I have never done a layout of just my husband. I have a wonderful husband and thought that he was deserving of a solo layout in my family scrapbook. :) I've had these sheets of papers from the Basic Grey Origins line for so long. I love the way that they look with this black and white photo.

I just can't get away from flowers - even on a "manly" layout!

Supplies Used: Basic Grey patterned papers, Prima Marketing flowers and leaves, Spare Parts metal, Cosmo Cricket chipboard letters, Making Memories tiny alphabet

I actually lifted the design and title from this layout that I created over two years ago!

I Love You 100

I just cherish the sweet things that come out of the mouths of babes! My son "needed" to urgently tell me something after I put him to bed. It might be a stalling tactic, but sweet nonetheless!
I was inspired by a recent layout in Scrapbooks Etc. for this layout (April issue, pg 40).

Pure Bliss!

Here's Jack thoroughly enjoying his first experience on an inflatable slide. Gotta love the hair here!  And let me just say that I am loving this boy line of paper by Echo Park. So far, I am impressed with their fun designs and vibrant colors.

I used this Beck Fleck sketch to complete my layout. I originally completed this layout for a PageMaps challenge, but I decided that I ventured too far from this original sketch to submit it. However, I liked the sketch so much that I used it to created two layouts.

Thanks for visiting!

Basic Grey PageMaps Challenge

This is my 2 year old comedian hamming it up for the camera. He really does have a contagious smile and doesn't require too much coaxing when it comes to the camera. I had a lot of fun playing with paper and mixing up old and new products for this layout.

I created this layout for a PageMaps Basic Grey challenge. There is still time to play! Here is the sketch provided by Becky Fleck...I loved this sketch so much that I actually created two layouts for it.

Supplies Used: Patterned Papers (Amy Butler K&Co, Jillibean Soup, My Little Shoebox, Cosmo Cricket), Bazzill Basics cardstock, My Little Shoebox alpha stickers, American Crafts foam letters, October Afternoon rub-on.
