Rock Star

These are some personal favorite photos of my son, Samuel.  We were at a Christmas function, and he was so determined to climb the rock wall. He was one of the youngest and smallest, yet he approached it with no fear and was determined to ring the bell at the top of the wall. I was so proud of his determination. He earned his title, rock star!

I inked each circle and pop dotted some of them for added dimension.

Supplies used: Patterned Papers (Bo Bunny Press, Basic Grey, Sassafras Lass),Cosmo Cricket alpha stickers, American Crafts foil Thickers.

My first Christmas layout of this past season...This is a picture of the 3 "youngest" of my family during Christmastime. Jack (my kid on the left) looks like he is about to pounce one of the babies. :)

These fabric flowers are so simple to make. I used leftover fabric from some pillows that I made for my front porch.

Begin with a long strip of fabric. This strip is about one inch wide and 40 inches long. I prefer more of a shabby look, and so I frayed the edge of fabric that will be exposed.

Sew down one edge of fabric.

Knot the end of your thread. Sew basting stitches along edge of fabric.

Once you reach the end of your strip of fabric, gather up the fabric into ruffles.

Shape fabric into a flower. I used a pencil to help keep the center in place. The part of fabric that is sewed down will be the center of the flower. Once you have achieved the desired look, stitch flower into place.

Ta da! I used a large brad as my center. A button would be cute, too.
Have fun with these!

Fall, 4, and "Flour" Power

I've been on a roll this week!

This is one of my favorite fall pictures of my boys from the pumpkin patch. They were on top of a bale of hay. Sam was having a blast. Jack was timid at first, but grabbed onto his big brother for comfort and ended up also having great time. Notice the October Afternoon logo?!? This took place on an October afternoon, and so I had to work it in somehow.

I love love love this fall line from Bella Blvd!

Supplies used: Patterned Papers (Bella Blvd, October Afternoon, Jillibean Soup, My Minds Eye, Basic Grey), American Crafts Thickers, Jillibean Soup journaling sprouts

I have not completed a milestone page for my boys in so long. This is a picture of my sweet 4 year old and a list of things that he loves at 4. I love this line of Bo Bunny papers!

Supplies used: Patterned Papers (Bo Bunny, Graphic 45, Basic Grey),Tim Holtz tickets, Making Memories tiny alpha, Prima Marketing flowers

"Flour" Power
Here are my boy hamming it up in their new aprons and chef hats. I had a moment and got slightly carried away with my stash of flowers. Since I didn't think that flowers really fit with my boys modeling their Lightning McQueen sets, I went with the title "Flour (Flower) Power" to make  it right!

Thanks for stopping by!

Pocketful of Sonshine

Nothing says Happy New Year like a beach layout! :-) I've been wanting to use these papers, and I was inspired by a layout in the December Scrapbooks Etc. issue (pg 61). I lifted the horizontal strips and the embroidered title.

Supplies used: Patterned Papers (Bo Bunny, Fancy Pants), Basic Grey Alphabet Sticker, Paper Studio chipboard and brads

Love, peace, and joy to you this new year!
